West Mill Advanced Photography Workshop
In Southern France with George Munday
May 9-16, 2009
What: The West Mill Advanced Photography Workshop includes visits to the local markets, the famous Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, medieval villages, and historic cities. This workshop is aimed specifically at enthusiastic and advanced photographers and there will be no basic photographic instruction; it is about photographing in the field. It could also be of interest to professionals who like to venture into landscape work. Participants and the group leader will work side by side, sharing their knowledge, vision, philosophy and experience – and there will still be opportunities to chill out and to enjoy the local foods and wine.
When: Saturday May 9, 2009 through Saturday May 16, 2009. Enjoy eight days of adventure with other keen photographers.
Where: The workshop participants stay at The West Mill, located 2 km from St. Jean du Gard, a traditional French village. This 18th century water mill with private swimming pool and hot tub, is set in a peaceful area with over 11 acres of private land, bordering the Gardon River, at the foot of the Cevennes Mountains. The West Mill has been owned and operated for over 7 years by Kirsten Apple, a resident of Falls Church in Virginia, USA. The local hosts will be Victor and Johanne, a retired couple from England who live near the West Mill and prepare your breakfast and lunch daily as well as provide guide information on the region.
